Brooklyn Cruise Terminal Team Area (see event map for exact location)
Time: 9:00am – 12:30pm

Athletes must be checked in (1) hour before their heat race

Security screening note

Due to tighter security everyone entering the venue will be screened. If you leave the venue during the event you will need to re-enter through a screening point. Later in the day there may be long lines so be prepared. Please arrive at least 1hr before any session.

Team Area access note

Due to increased security and limited capacity, everyone entering the Team Area inside the Cruise Terminal will need a wristband for access (each athlete will receive 2 wristbands). We highly encourage you to pick up your wristbands and race packet early at R&A Cycles to avoid lines on race day. If you do not check-in early, there will be a wristband collection point before entering the Team Area.

Athletes will receive

  • Timing Chip (with zip ties)
  • Aero Number (with zip ties)
  • Bib Number (with safety pins)
  • (2) wristbands for team area access
  • Select sponsor items

Chip rules

  • $20 deposit required (We will accept $5, $10, and $20 bills only)
  • Chips must be returned by 1 hour after the podium ceremony on Saturday night at the venue.
  • Chips returned after Saturday night at the venue will forfeit their $20 deposit
  • Athletes are responsible for their chip – no exceptions for chips that are stolen or lost in crashes
  • Athletes will forfeit their deposit and be invoiced $100 if they fail to return their chip
  • Chip return is at the Athlete Check-in area

ATHLETE / TEAM AREA

All athletes/teams have been assigned to specific bays inside the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal

  • The team area will open at 9:00 am on race day
  • Bays are assigned at the organizer’s discretion
  • Athletes must use their assigned bay
  • Bays will hold (6 – 12) riders. Teams with less than (6) riders will be combined with another team
  • Bays will include chairs, a bike rack, water and trash cans
  • Athletes/teams are responsible for maintaining order and leaving the bay clean
  • Athletes/teams are NOT allowed to sell team merchandise
  • Athletes/teams are NOT allowed to set up product and sponsor displays
  • Teams are fully responsible for personal belongings left in their bays
  • The team area will close at 11:00pm after the race. All athletes must be out of the terminal by 11:00pm
  • The entire event area is closed to team vehicles. All team area supplies must be carried in
  • The closest entrance to the Cruise Terminal building is the Ferris Street pedestrian entrance https://goo.gl/maps/XWGl0

MEDICAL SUPPORT

  • A medical team will be in position to respond to injuries sustained during the event
  • A medical tent will be on location for injuries that can be treated at the event
  • A medical station will be located within the team area for minor treatments
  • Athletes should become familiar with the medical tent location upon arrival (see event map for rough location)
  • Ambulances will be on location for transport to the hospital if required
  • It is highly recommended that athletes maintain liability and health insurance to sufficiently cover their participation
  • Athletes requiring transport to the hospital will (most likely) be transported to the following locations. Check with the staff at the medical tent for specific information
