Virginia Cancellieri made her debut in the Red Hook Crit at Brooklyn last year. After a full season of racing she finished 26th in the championship series. She returned to Brooklyn with high hopes but was unfortunately taken out in the start crash during the women’s final, suffering a torn ligament in her ankle in the process. We are happy to see that the Italian rider is back on the start list. But more importantly that she has made a full recovery to racing winning the Minet Crit in London and finishing 4th last weekend at the Las Petite Course Criterium in Paris.
