Emanuele Poli has been a reliable performer in the Red Hook Crit races since his debut in Barcelona in 2013 where he finished 8th. However last year he had a breakout ride in Milan where he was the only rider to make it across the the wheel of a flying Stefan Schafer. The two would go on to stay away from the field and finally break Colin Strickland’s hold on the top step of the podium in 2016. Unfortunately Poli skipped the series opener in Brooklyn but his 6th place at Rad Race a few months ago shows that his fitness is on track for London. #redhookcrit #rhcl3

Raphaele Lemieux was not a rider most people were talking about as a serious contender ahead of Brooklyn this year. Given her experience with the Canadian National Junior Team as well as her time as elite short track speed skater, that was probably a mistake. In her first appearance at the Red Hook Crit she defied all expectations taking 2nd in the brand new Super Pole format and went on to take 4th in the final. As impressive as this was we’re sure it was bittersweet being so close to the podium. We expect she will want to be at least one better in London. #redhookcrit #rhcl3
