As it currently stands the @northbrooklynrunners women’s team seems set to repeat their first place performance in the Strava Team Competition. Can another team come along and challenge for the $750 first place prize? With less than three weeks to go and plenty of spots still available, the women’s race is far from being decided. Find the team competition rules and reg info at the link in our bio. ph: @tornanti_cc

Colin Strickland's thoughts on the new qualifying format: Heats "I see the advantages of the new qualifying format as primarily safety. Doing one "un-naturally" fast lap without any experience navigating the course at speed is a recipe for disaster (referencing previous format). When everything is riding on one fast lap, it encourages extreme risk taking without experiencing the turns first." Super Pole "I have always asked Dave (Trimble) to modify qualifying to include an individual TT, so it would be a shame not to give it my all. That being said, I remember that the single-lap effort to secure fastest qualifying time in Barcelona was exhausting, so it may be a match I'd like to pocket for the race. The clear advantage of getting in the Super Pole is to secure a start near the front. Moving up can be very challenging and taxing, and staying out of trouble is always a priority." Ph: @tornanti_cc
