Raphaele Lemieux was not a rider most people were talking about as a serious contender ahead of Brooklyn this year. Given her experience with the Canadian National Junior Team as well as her time as elite short track speed skater, that was probably a mistake. In her first appearance at the Red Hook Crit she defied all expectations taking 2nd in the brand new Super Pole format and went on to take 4th in the final. As impressive as this was we're sure it was bittersweet being so close to the podium. We expect she will want to be at least one better in London. #redhookcrit #rhcl3
