Previous PostPrevious Virginia Cancellieri made her debut in the Red Hook Crit at Brooklyn last year. After a full season of racing she finished 26th in the championship series. She returned to Brooklyn with high hopes but was unfortunately taken out in the start crash during the women’s final, suffering a torn ligament in her ankle in the process. We are happy to see that the Italian rider is back on the start list. But more importantly that she has made a full recovery to racing winning the Minet Crit in London and finishing 4th last weekend at the Las Petite Course Criterium in Paris. With slightly better luck we expect Cancellieri fighting for a good result in London. #redhookcrit #rhcl3 #rhcwomen
Next PostNext These days Brian Megens is best known for founding fixedgearcrit.com a website entirely dedicated to this discipline of racing. But just a few short years ago Megens was an up-and-coming Dutch road rider on the Rabobank U23 team. In 2016 Megens competed in all three European rounds of the Red Hook Crit with forgettable results. But he’s made huge strides in 2017, winning his qualifying heat in Brooklyn with a gutsy solo move and has recently won the Katendrecht round of the NL Crit Series. It looks like Megens is getting his legs under him and we’re expecting a good showing from him in London. #redhookcrit #rhcl3
