We are excited to reveal the new 2017 Race Format. Read about it in detail at fixedgearcrit.com (link in profile). - All athletes will race in a 20-minute heat. There will be 5 heats with 60 riders each. The winner of each heat will score 3 championship points. The top 3 from each heat will advance to the Super Pole session*. Positions 4-18 will advance directly to the Final. Positions 19-30 will advance to the Last Chance Race (LCR). Positions 31-60 will be eliminated. The Super Pole is a 1-lap Individual Time Trial to set the front of the grid for the Final*. The fastest time will score 3 championship points. The top 10 finishers in the LCR will advance to the final. The winner of the LCR will advance to start the Final near the front. The Final will have 100 starters. *In the women’s field (based on 2 heats) the top 8 will advance to the Super Pole. **In the women’s field (based on 2 heats) positions 9-50 will advance directly to the final. #redhookcrit #rhcchampseries
