These days Brian Megens is best known for founding fixedgearcrit.com a website entirely dedicated to this discipline of racing. But just a few short years ago Megens was an up-and-coming Dutch road rider on the Rabobank U23 team. In 2016 Megens competed in all three European rounds of the Red Hook Crit with forgettable results. But he’s made huge strides in 2017, winning his qualifying heat in Brooklyn with a gutsy solo move and has recently won the Katendrecht round of the NL Crit Series.
