5k Race Details

For the seventh consecutive year, the race will be held at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal and will consist of 5 laps around a technical 1-kilometer USATF-certified course.
The race will feature:

Separate men’s and women’s races
Electronic timing and scoring for accurate results
Individual and team cash prizes

Security screening note

Due to tighter security everyone entering the venue will be screened. If you leave the venue during the event you will need to re-enter through a screening point. Later in the day there may be long lines so be prepared. Please arrive at least 1hr before any session.

Team Area access note

Due to increased security and limited capacity, everyone entering the Team Area inside the Cruise Terminal will need a wristband for access (each athlete will receive 2 wristbands). We highly encourage you to pick up your wristbands and race packet early at R&A Cycles to avoid lines on race day. If you do not check-in early, there will be a wristband collection point before entering the Team Area.

WHERE TO FIND THE RACE VENUE

Pedestrian entrances are located at Ferris and King Street, Bowne and Imlay Street, Pioneer and Conover Street.

Subway: Take the F train to Smith/9th Street Train station and walk approximately a mile to the venue or change for the B61 Bus or take 2/3/4/5/N/R subway train to Borough Hall and change for B61 bus which is on Atlantic Avenue (at Court Street).

Bus: Take the B61 and get off at Pioneer and Van Brunt Streets.

Car: There is no parking inside the venue for spectators and athletes. Limited street parking can be found in the neighborhood.

Bike: Bikes are allowed in the venue and bike parking will be available. All bikes must be unlocked and removed by 11 pm or the locks will be cut and bikes removed from the terminal area.

Individual Prizes

We’ll reward $1,000 to the overall winner and a cash prime* to the runner leading on the first lap. Equal prize money will be allocated to the top finishers in the men’s and women’s races.

*Awarded to the runner leading on the first lap that also completes the entire race.

Team Competition

The team competition returns once again. We’ll be offering prizes for the top male and female teams. A team’s place is determined by adding the points that correspond to the finishing position of the top five members. The lowest scoring team wins.
